The author of Inori no Karute, talk about Tamamori in the main role of the drama
Writer and author Mikito Chinen, who is also a practicing doctor, recently visited the set of the NTV drama series "祈りのカルテ 研修医の謎解き診察記録," starring Yuta Tamamori (Kis-My-Ft2 ) scheduled every Saturday at 10:00 p.m.
Mr. Chinen said, "Of course, Tamamori-san is cool as he is, but when he got into the role, he made me think, 'There really are interns like him. He praised Tamamori's realistic "resident doctor" performance in the role of Suwano, the main character of the film.
In the scene where the resident team interacts with each other, "The relationship between the residents and their peers is very realistic and reminded me of my own time as a resident," he said. We all support each other through the bonds we form with our fellow trainees. Even when the cameras weren't rolling, I could feel that kind of atmosphere from Tamamori-san and the other actors who played the interns, and it was great.
The sixth episode, which will air on January 12, will mark the second year of internship for Suwano and his team, and he commented on the highlights of the second half of the story: "Each one of the interns grows as a professional in a different way and discovers "what kind of doctor I want to be. "They are finding out what kind of doctor they are going to be. That is also what "Prayer Chart" is about. As the author of the original story, I hope that the audience will pay attention to their growth and the fork in their lives, as well as the fun of the mystery.
Interview with Mikito Chinen, author of the original story
How was it meeting Tamamori-san, who plays the main character Suwano?
I was happy to finally meet him. Of course, Tamamori-san is cool as he is, but when he got into the role, I thought, "There really is such a resident doctor. He is a serious and hard-working intern. I heard that Tamamori-san is 32 years old now, but when he gets into the role, even Suwano's age becomes much younger. I thought that actors are amazing.
The relationships between residents and their peers were very realistic and reminded me of my own residency days.
In the actual training period, the supervisors are very strict, there are departments that require a lot of hard work, and there are places that are very difficult for each trainee, but the trainees support each other through the bond between their peers. Even when the cameras are not rolling, I was very happy to see that kind of atmosphere coming from Tamamori-san and all the other actors who play the roles of interns.
Please tell us about your thoughts on the drama as you watched it on air.
We have various guest appearances by the supervising doctors each time, but the relationship between them and the residents is very good. He not only teaches them the work of each department one by one, but also shows them how to be professionals themselves.
You show them what you are like and teach them what it means to be a doctor. I thought of the faces of the wonderful doctors who were actually around me. I am very happy that everyone played their roles so realistically.
What are the highlights of the second half of the film from the author's point of view?
In real life, the residents who can't do anything at the beginning, or are "useless" if you want to put it that way, become solid assets after the two-year training period. Of course, there will be many difficult experiences during that time. Through these experiences, each one of them grows as a professional in a different way and discovers what kind of doctor he or she is going to be.
That is also the story of "Prayer Chart. From the sixth episode, Suwano and his team enter the second year of their residency.
I hope that you will enjoy the mystery and also pay attention to their growth and the turning point in their lives.
